I’ve been running some SEO experiments recently and managed to get 2 previously high ranking phrases dropped by Google.
Someone mentioned on a forum today they were doing similar experiments and had gone from page 1 to page 9
This got me thinking about the infamous Google minus 30 Penalty from around 2004 2006
I quickly checked the ranking of the 2 phrases I was tracking to find one had dropped from position 4 to position 94 and the other had dropped from position 11 to position 101
Both had dropped exactly 90 places and are now at minus 90!
Is this a sign of a Google -90 penalty or just coincidence?
If anyone else has had similar drops see where you are now compared to where you were before the drop and either vote comment below.

No, It’s not so.
It seems Google has many penalty sets,
Set1 = 30
Set2 = 40
Set = 50
…..
Set = 90
etc.
